Dr Robert Noxon was a family physician who lived in the heart of Poughkeepsie from the late 1700’s through the early 1800’s. His practice covered a wide area of the Hudson River valley extending into Dutchess County as far as Staatsburgh and Crum Elbow and to the west side of the Hudson River. He leaves a complete record about his patients and what medical care they received. He was one of the doctors involved in the founding of the Dutchess County Medical Society begun in the early 1800’s. This Ledger is identified as Band mention is made of an A”, a C”, and a D”.
