Early Quaker Records, Creek Monthly Meeting of Society of Friends, Clinton Corners, NY | 1741–1946
Dutchess County, New York
This transcription is the result of the merger of various sources. It seems there were three Preparatory Meetings that made up the Creek Monthly Meeting. They were the Creek PM, Crum Elbow PM and Little Nine Partners PM. The sources for the transcription of this book's data are from all three PMs. An event that caused member conflict within the Friends Society was the division in 1828 of the Hicksites from the Orthodox as shown in Loren Fay's 1828 census of Quakers.
